This is one of my latest columns for Hera Style Magazine. 

The obsession over pastel tones is on and without place for doubts mint green is the favorite, a soft shade between green and turquoise, all about being feminine and fun! Considered as the new white for the season, this cute color looks lovely mixed with neutral tones or other pastel colors. Accessories in gold or bronze really pop out and give some touch of elegance to it. Mint is a great way to add color to your closet in a very trendy and subtle way!

Joining the neon trend today I’m showing you two of my newest additions to my closet this neon coral skirt designed by me, although it doesn’t look as vibrant in these pics as it really is. The idea of wearing head to toes neon scared me a little, so I decided to balance it with this cute polka dotted blouse that as soon as I spotted in the store, jumped right into my favorite blouses. Went for nude accessories to complete the look and made it classy yet fun!

After the most amazing weekend ever thanks to my Maicky, I wish you all have a wonderful week!

Me uno a la tendencia neón trayendoles hoy un look con dos de mis nuevas piezas favoritas en mi closet, la falda coral neón diseñada por mí y la blusa de lunares. La idea de llevar neón de pies a cabeza me asusta un poquito así que decidí darle balance con la blusa en color neutro, que en cuanto ví en la tienda instantaneamente se hizo de mis favoritas. Agregué accesorios en color neutro para completar el look!

A trend with some nostalgia from the past, inspired in those little girl’s prints, little bunnies, birdies, horses, dogs, cats arrive at our closets adding some cuteness! Mainly seen in the runways of Marc Jacobs and Philip Lim over blouses, dresses and skirts, we can not miss out on this adorable trend! As any other print, the best thing you can do is go for small figures that compliment your body and do not add volume. Without a question you’ll have so much fun mixing this teeny little animals into your wardrobe!

Una moda con nostalgia del pasado, Inspirada en esos lindos estampados de la ropa de niñas, pequeños conejitos, pajaritos, caballos, perritos, gatitos llegan a nuestro closet aportando un poco de ternura y feminidad. Principalmente visto en las pasarelas de Marc Jacobs y Philip Lim sobre blusas, vestidos y faldas, esta tendencia no nos puede faltar. Como cualquier estampado lo mejor es inclinarnos hacía figuras pequeñas que trabajen a favor de nuestra figura en vez de aportar volumen. Sin duda te divertirás combinando estos pequeños animalitos!

So excited to finally show you this outfit that’s been on my mind since pastel colors started to take over the stores and windows. Did I fell super feminine on this one? … oh yes!

The mint skirt is actually my design, took some inspiration in those ones at Zara that I tried on but the inner skirt was way too short for me, now I’m thinking of making a coral version of it. When I first planned this outfit I thought of wearing nude accents but they kind of blend with the light colors and did not stand out so much, so I went for camel satchel and these cork heels I’m so smitten with, they are not only comfy but the cork actually has glitter on it, although you can’t really see, promise next time show you a closer look! Went for neon orange nail to pop out from the pastel colors, love that polish!

Muy felíz de finalmente enseñarles este outfit que tenía en mente desde que los colores pastel empezaron a verse por todas las tiendas y aparadores. Me sentí súper femenina en este atuendo!

La falda menta es un diseño mío, inspirado en una falda de Zara, pero el forro de adentro era muy corto para mí, ahora estoy pensando en hacer una falda coral. Cuando planeé este look en un principio pensé en zapatos y accesorios neutros pero no resaltaban mucho, así que decidí un bolso color caramelo y mis nuevas sandalias que estoy encantada con ellas, aparte de ser muy cómodas el tacón de corcho tiene brillitos, aunque no los puedan ver, prometo enseñarles una toma más cerca la próxima vez! Me decidí por uñas en color neón para que resaltara de los colores pastel, me encanta ese color!

Espero que les guste tanto como a mí!

This is one of my latest columns for Hera Style Magazine. 

Sticking to the pastel trend so in fashion this season, this week we focus on the girliest colors, pastel pink! Starting from very pale pink to a warmer shade, is time to look very feminine by adding some pink to our looks, you can start from basic tees, colored jeans o little dresses in light fabrics or lace, mixing it with nude will look so divine, you can’t miss out on this cute color!

Siguiendo la tierna tendencia primaveral de los colores pastel, esta semana nos enfocamos al color más girly, el rosa pastel. Pasando por todas sus tonalidades desde el muy tenué hasta un rosa más calido, es momento de lucir muy femenina incorporandolo a nuestros looks, desde camisetas básicas, jeans o vestiditos en telas ligeras o encaje, no puedes dejar de usar este lindo color, que combinado con colores neutros se ve divino!

Hello, hello I’m back! … Well sort of, between my sister aka photographer getting chicken pox (Thanks for all your sweet words for her on Twitter) and school it has been so hard to update on outfit posts lately, finally I got to shoot some pics this weekend!  … My sister has been begging me to wear this blouse cute birdies printed blouse for quite a while (she wants to wear it, and she knows she can’t wear them first than I do, rules are rules!) I bought it so long ago but winter made it so impossible to wear, of course I could’ve worn it with a sweater but it would have loose the charm from the details.

At first I put on black pumps which would’ve been the obvious but decided to push the envelope a little bit and matched my purple pumps to the little birdies lilac color and the pastel nails, this is only the second time I’ve worn these shoes, wish I could wear them even more! Hope you like this very girly look!

Hola, hola estoy de regreso! … Bueno algo así, entre que a mi hermanita ósea mi fotógrafa se enfermó de varicela (Gracias por todos los mensajitos lindos que le mandaron por Twitter) y la escuela, me ha sido muy difícil actualizar nuevos outfits, finalmente pudimos sacar unas fotitos este fin de semana! … My hermanita me había rogado por meses que usara esta blusa (ella la quiere usar, pero no puede hasta que yo la estrene, reglas son reglas!), la compré hace muchísimo pero el invierno hizo imposible que la usara, claro que me la pude poner con un suéter pero se perdería el encanto de los detallitos.

En un principio me puse tacones negros, que era lo más obvio, pero decidí ir un poco más allá y combine con el lila de los pajaritos y el color pastel de mis uñas mis tacones morados, apenas es la segunda vez que los utilizo, quisiera darle más uso! Espero que les guste este conjunto ultra femenino!

This is one of my columns for Hera Style magazine.

We all talk about a lot LBD and how versatile and great they are, that Little black staple dress that is always there for us, but is it our only choice? … not at all!  There are more options for spring and summer season, like a little navy dress, with same characteristics, as versatile as the black one but freshest. And just like classic black, you can create tons of combinations starting with neutral colors all the way to neon colors. When shopping for the perfect navy dress, go for structured styles, with clean lines that compliment your body type, and lean towards fabrics that you can wear all year round so you can wear the a lot from day to night!  Mucho hemos hablando de lo funcional que es tener un LBD (Little black dress), aquel vestidito negro corto que siempre luce bien y nos saca de apuros, pero es acaso nuestra única opción? Claro que no! Para la temporada de calor nada como un vestido con las mismas características pero en azul marino, que es más fresco e igual de versátil que el clásico negro pues es combina con colores neón hasta sobrios. Inclínate por los modelos estructurados en cortes favorecedores a tu tipo de cuerpo en telas atemporales para poderlo llevar tanto de día como de noche. Tienes un vestido como este?

If you are a regular on my blog, you’ve probably seen this outfit before, was one of my favorites last summer,  since this time Flor de Maria, Dany and Ashley’s bi-weekly challenge is about pleats and my little sister aka my photographer is in bed with chicken pox I recycled them to join the challenge and to show it to the new readers here!

This is one of my collumns for Hera Style magazine.

Leaving behind those darker wintery colors and saying hello to spring and the big colorful palette it brings to us this year, pastels will be what we aim for, and I’m not talking only about clothes or accessories, this big trend starts in our nails. A mint manicure is the hottest detail for a fashionista right now, there a huge scheme of mint green to choose from, all we need is to find the right tone to match our skin tone, this will give a fresh and fun touch to our hands!

I have been wanting a leopard dress for so long, but all of them where either too short, to tight, too much cleavage, just not the right one! …until I walked into the store and there it was, my perfect LLD (Little leopard dress). We could say is a little “mature” for my age but I can totally see me wearing it for lots of different occasions. It didn’t need lots of accessorizing just a pair of black pumps and my new satchel and sunnies, guess I’ll never get tired of leopard and oversized sunglasses.

Tenía tiempo queriendo un vestido con estampado de leopardo por mucho tiempo, pero todos los que encontraba eran muy cortos, muy justos, con mucho escote, en fin no el apropiado! … hasta que entré  la tienda y ahí estaba mi vestido de leopardo. Podríamos decir que es un look “maduro” para mi edad pero puedo verme usándolo para muchas ocasiones distintas. No necesité de muchos accesorios, solo un par de tacónes negros y mi nueva bolsa y gafas, creo que nunca me cansaré del leopardo y las gafas gigantes.
